Rather than solely using Logics built in Binaural Panning, I thought that it would be a good idea to see if Sennheiser had anything more to offer with their ambeo Orbit binaural plugin. https://en-uk.sennheiser.com/ambeo-orbit
I have made to versions of a mix for the film, one with logic binaural panning and one with the ambeo Orbit binaural plugin. I think on balance I prefer using Logic Binaural panner because of the way it is graphically depicted which seems to make more sense to me. It is difficult to make a decision about which is better. I think I need another pair of ears to do an AB comparison.
